Special Collections Digitised holdings
As early as 2001, Heidelberg University Library began digitising manuscripts from its famous collections. All the manuscripts of the Bibliotheca Palatina and the monastic libraries of Salem and Petershausen are now available online and freely accessible. A large part of the collection of charters has also been digitised. The Codices Heidelbergenses Orientales, manuscripts from the Trübner collection and from the Heidelberger Handschriften (Heid. Hs.), as well as incunabula and old prints, are being digitised successively and as required.
