Arriving by bus 

Bus # 31, 32 to 'Universitätsplatz' and 33 in the direction of Ziegelhausen/Köpfel to 'Peterskirche'. Please consult the VRN time table (local and regional public transport).

Arriving by car

• From the North/West (A 656): Take exit marked Zentrum/Schloß, head towards Schloß (Castle). Continue on this street, pass through the tunnel, before the the second tunnel get into the left-hand lane and follow the sign to Parkhaus Nr. 11 (car park).
• From the South (A 5): Take exit Heidelberg/Schwetzingen, follow the highway to Heidelberg, then continue as given above.
• From the East (along Neckar River): Turn left at Karlstor, following signs to Parkhaus 11 / Zentrum (downtown). Turn right after leaving the tunnel, following signs to Parkhaus 11.

We recommend car park 11 (Parkhaus 11 / Universitätsbibliothek) underground car park, max. height 1.80 m, 185 parking spaces).It is located next to the main library building in the downtown area. Parking in the neighbouring residential areas is difficult.

Arriving by train

Heidelberg is connected to the Deutsche Bahn intercity network. Deutsche Bahn provides information about connections.

Arriving by public transport

• Tram lines 21, 24 and 25
  Stop ‚Jahnstrasse‘: To change to bus no. 32, walk from the tram stop on Jahnstraße into Neuenheimer Feld. The bus stop is after approx. 30 m on the right side of the street. Stop ‘Technologiepark’: change to buses 31 and 37 at the same stop.
• Buses 31 and 37
  Bus stop ‚Kopfklinik‘: The stop is located directly in front of the Kopfklinik main entrance. The branch library is located on the left hand side of the Kopfklinik building and two buildings behind the nearest car park marked P7.

Arriving by car

• Coming from the A5 motorway, change to the A656 towards Heidelberg at the Heidelberg motorway junction. Coming from the A6, at the Mannheim motorway junction, change to the A656 towards Heidelberg. At the end of the highway, turn left towards Neuenheim/Universitätsklinikum. Follow the signs to “Universitätsklinikum” and cross the Neckar. You are now on Berliner Straße, with the Neuenheimer Feld campus on your left.
• On Berliner Straße: Coming from the south, turn left at the “Technologiepark” tram stop. Coming from the north turn right on to street Im Neuenheimer Feld. After approx. 700 m (immediately behind the second intersection) you will find the Kopfklinik (address: INF 400) on the left.The branch library is located to the left of the Kopfklinik building and one building behind the nearest car park marked P7.
