Carrels in the main library

Lockable individual work booths (carrels) are available in the reading room in the Main Library in the Old Town. The carrels can be “rented” free of charge by students of Heidelberg University and other members of Heidelberg University for the preparation of written academic theses (bachelor's, diploma, master's, admission, law or doctoral theses) for a maximum period of 2 months. The application is made via the information desk in the reading room on the basis of the application for the provision of an individual work cubicle. Special regulations apply in addition to the library system's user regulations.
