School classes

Since registration of large groups can lead to longer waiting times at the counters, we ask you to come only during Monday - Thursday 9 am - 3 pm, Friday 9 am - 2 pm. You can obtain your library card at the lending desk.

Only pupils who actually intend to borrow books should obtain a library card. Please note that pupils must then also take responsibility for returning the books on time.

The registration form is available online and should already be filled in and printed before your visit. Please note that for underage pupils a parent or guardian must sign the liability statement on the back of the registration form.

The following documents have to be presented for registration:

• Current pupil ID card
• Original personal identity card/passport
• Copy of the personal identity card/passport of the parent or guardian who signed the liability declaration on the registration form.
• Proof of address: we accept the pupils personal identity card, a registration confirmation from the Resident Registration Office, or a copy of the parent/guardian's personal identity card as proof of address.

Jackets and bags must be locked up beforehand in order to enter the open stacks area. Coin-operated lockers can be found in the basement of the library; you will need a 2-Euro coin.
