Successful DFG Funding University Library promotes Open Access publications

The University Library was successful with its proposal in the second funding round (2025-2027) of the DFG program “Open Access Publication Costs”. With this program, the DFG supports scientific institutions in the establishment and further development of services to finance open access publications.

The DFG's positive vote means that the financing of the university publication fund continues to be secured. Gold Open Access articles will continue to be funded with 1000 euros each from 2025. Members of the university are cordially invited to submit funding applications via the fund's website. In addition to journal articles, Open Access monographs resulting from DFG funding can also be funded with up to 5000 euros.
