Modus. Papers on Art History is an annual scholarly journal, published by the Jagiellonian University’s Institute of Art History in Cracow since 1999. It features extensive studies, shorter articles, and miscellanea, both by scholars associated with the Institute and by authors from other institutions of learning in Poland and abroad. The main language is Polish, but also papers in foreign languages (English, German, and French) appear in the journal. Special emphasis is put on the reviews section. The link of the journal with the Art History Institute of the Jagiellonian University is highlighted through the "Chronicle" which brings news about scholarly events, appointments and promotions, as well as MA theses and PhD dissertations completed at the Institute.
