Svasthya (Calcutta: Durgadas Gupta, Svastha Karyalaya, 1898-1902)
This periodical on medicine and public health started in 1897 and established itself as a major periodical on medicine in Bangla. The journal was published during the outbreak of the plague in Bombay and Calcutta, which created panic among the citizens. Svasthya documented the minute details of the plague epidemic in Calcutta in 1899. Svasthya was printed by Kunjabihari Das, Victoria Press, 2 Goabagan Street, Calcutta.
