Introduction to the principles and practice of literatur and information searching (focus: Medical Science and Natural Science)

Is google enough? Are you looking for specific information, literature and/or current research results on a specific topic? What is the best way to proceed? These sessions give an introduction of resources available to you and cover the principles and practice of scientific literature searching.

You will get an overview of:

• various research tools and search strategies
• How to search the internet (e.g. Google Scholar)
• standards of scientific publication and how you can use them for research
• How to find specific journals and articles
• Databases offered by the university library
• possibilities and limitations of scientific literature research with AI (e.g. Elicit, Semantic Scholar, SciSpace ...)

The sessions are offered in German and by appointment also for groups of five people or more. If you are interested in participating please contact us.
