Activating the Service Card as UB card – only for staff of the University of Heidelberg with Uni ID
Staff of Heidelberg University can use their Service Card with Uni ID as the UB library card. The following steps show you how to switch from using your current UB account (yellow or blue card) to Uni ID card.
Prerequisite for switching
The change can only be made once the Uni ID has been activated.
Switching online
Online form to activate Uni ID Service Card
Please log in with your Uni ID and password. You will be asked for your current UB account number (HEIDI number) and password. You then need to confirm the change of accounts. From this point on, please use your Uni ID as your UB account number as your former ID and account number will be invalid.
