Rozprawy i Sprawozdania Muzeum Narodowego w Krakowie [Papers and Reports of the National Museum in Krakow] appeared between 1952 and 1980 under the following titles:

• Sprawozdania i Rozprawy. Muzeum Narodowe w Krakowie [Reports and Papers. National Museum in Krakow], vol. 1, 1952;
• Rozprawy i Sprawozdania. Muzeum Narodowe w Krakowie [Papers and Reports. National Museum in Krakow], vols. 2–5, 1954–1959;
• Rozprawy i Sprawozdania Muzeum Narodowego w Krakowie [Papers and Reports of the National Museum in Krakow], vols. 6–12, 1960–1980.

The journal published papers on the history of art, focusing primarily on the items in the Museum’s own collection, as well as the reports on the Museum’s work. It was succeeded by the Rozprawy Muzeum Narodowego w Krakowie. Seria Nowa [Papers of the National Museum in Krakow. New Series], which have been published since 1999.

In the journal appear articles, shorter notices and reviews dealing with the history of art, fine art conservation, museology as well as history and its auxiliary sciences. Papers are published in English, French, German and in Polish, with abstracts in foreign languages.
