Le Grelot: journal illustré, politique et satirique – digitized
The journal Le Grelot was published in Paris between 1871 and 1903. The four-page periodical was published weekly, in folio, with a coloured title page, thus, resembling L’Eclipse in format and design. The political caricatures and texts reflect a Republican ethos and are clearly anti-Paris Commune. Bertall, Alfred Le Petit, Pépin and Demare were the chief caricaturists of the journal.
