Art Topography of Germany – digitized

The holdings of the Specialized Information Service for Art also comprise a broad and significant collection of literature on art topography of Germany. Selected works have been digitized and made available free of charge on the internet. A special focus lies on digital inventories of heritage monuments from the late 19th and early 20th century.

The digitized volumes are georeferenced on page level and visualized on a map providing a user-friendly access. Thus the places mentioned in the texts are shown on the maps as georeferenced dots and enable bundled access to the sites. Correspondingly all the digitized objects are accessible via a place index and a search mask (author, title, year of publication).
