Incunabula
Among the division's holdings are approximately 1,850 printed books and fragments from 1454 to 1500 which formerly belonged to monastery libararies. Prints of the German-speaking south-west and south are represented in large numbers, prints from the Rhineland (Cologne, Mainz and Speyer) are represented, too.
The results of our ongoing catalogue project are integrated in our online catalogue HEIDI or via the Incunabula catalogue of German libraries (INKA).
In 2003 Heidelberg University Library started a digitization department to digitize parts of its historic collections. The incunabula of Heidelberg will be digitized if required.
